Blessed Be, and Welcome.

My name is Ben, and I am the founder of The Witch and the Orca.

I am a Reiki Master Practitioner, spiritual seeker, witch, and passionate believer in the power of healing, connection, and community.

The Witch and the Orca was born from my own personal journey of self-discovery, healing, loss, and transformation. It is more than a business to me. It is a reflection of who I am, the lessons I have learned, and the path I continue to walk every day.

My hope is to create a space where people feel welcome, accepted, supported, and free to be themselves.

My Journey

Like many people, my journey has not always been easy.

There have been times in my life when I felt lost, isolated, and unsure of where I belonged. Learning to accept myself, finding my place in the world, and becoming comfortable being exactly who I am has been one of the greatest challenges and one of the greatest gifts of my life.

Part of that journey included coming out as a gay man and learning that authenticity is one of the most powerful forms of healing we can experience.

While that journey brought freedom, it also brought periods of loneliness, loss, and emotional pain. Like many people, I have experienced heartbreak, grief, anxiety, and moments where life felt overwhelming.

Those experiences taught me something important:

Healing is not about becoming someone else.

Healing is about coming home to yourself.

Discovering Reiki

My path into Reiki began during a difficult period of my life.

At the time, I was carrying a great deal of emotional stress and struggling to find balance. A friend suggested I attend a spiritual development group, run by Stacey Bower and that single decision changed the direction of my life.

Through those groups I was introduced to Reiki.

After experiencing Reiki for myself, I was amazed by the sense of peace, calm, and release that it brought me. For the first time in a long while, my mind felt quieter, my heart felt lighter, and I felt a sense of hope returning.

I knew immediately that I wanted to learn more.

I went on to train in Usui Holy Fire Reiki with Jane Sutcliffe before later completing my Angelic Reiki training with Amy Sharpe. The experiences I had during my Reiki training were powerful, transformative, and deeply meaningful.

Today, I am proud to be an Angelic Reiki Master Practitioner and feel honoured every time I am trusted to support someone on their own healing journey.

The Orca

People often ask me why the orca is such an important part of my life and why it features so prominently within my work.

The answer is simple.

Harmony.

Harmony is my primary spirit guide and appears to me in the form of an orca. For many years, the orca has been a symbol of wisdom, strength, intuition, family, and belonging in my life. Through meditation, spiritual practice, and personal experiences, I have developed a deep connection with Harmony and the lessons she continues to teach me.

Every morning, Harmony reminds me to approach life with kindness, curiosity, courage, and compassion.

The orca represents connection. Connection to ourselves. Connection to one another. Connection to the natural world. And connection to the deeper wisdom that exists within all of us.

Why The Witch and the Orca?

Before The Witch and the Orca, my practice was known as Harmony Healing.

I will always be grateful for everything that Harmony Healing taught me and for every person I met through that chapter of my life.

But over time, I realised something important.

I was hiding behind the business. I was allowing Harmony to be the face of everything while keeping parts of myself hidden from view.

Following a period of burnout, reflection, and spiritual guidance, I came to understand that it was time to step forward fully as myself.

The Witch and the Orca represents that decision.

It is a blending of all the parts of who I am. The healer. The witch. The spiritual seeker. The teacher. The friend. The brother. And the person who simply wants to help others feel a little less alone.

Continuing The Journey

One of the things I love most about spirituality is that the learning never truly ends.

While I now work as a Reiki Master Practitioner and facilitate healing and spiritual spaces for others, I remain a student myself. I believe that growth is a lifelong journey and that there is always more wisdom waiting to be discovered.

Today, I continue to deepen my understanding of magical practice, spirituality, and personal development through ongoing study and training.

I am especially grateful to my High Priestess, Sarah Jane, ( SJ ) whose guidance, wisdom, and teaching continue to support my development and understanding of traditional and medieval magical practices.

Her encouragement, knowledge, and dedication to her craft have become an important part of my ongoing journey, reminding me that no matter how much we learn, there is always another door waiting to be opened.

For me, spirituality is not a destination. It is a path that continues to unfold, one lesson, one experience, and one act of growth at a time.

My Philosophy

I believe healing should be accessible, welcoming, and free from judgement.

I believe people deserve spaces where they can feel safe.

I believe community matters.

I believe that every person deserves to be accepted for who they are.

And I believe that sometimes the most powerful thing we can offer another person is simply a place where they feel seen, heard, and understood.

Whether you join me for a Reiki session, attend a workshop, sit in a circle, or simply connect through this website, my hope is that you leave feeling lighter, stronger, and more connected than when you arrived.
